Google Pagerank Update for April 2010

Today there are two good announcements for all the bloggers. First, Wordpress 3.0 is launched and Second, Google pagerank is updated. We were expecting Google pagerank to be updated in 1 April and today finally it is announced. As far as I came to know, many bloggers are happy with the updated pagerank.

Google pagerank matters for all the bloggers but there are minority of bloggers who thinks it is not worth. Whatever others might think but I find Google page rank worth of all the blogs. For me, the first impression about any blog is via its design and value of blog by its page Rank.

For Devils' Workshop we had a good week with increase in traffic and we also maintained the Google pagerank with PR4. Overall, this time we really did satisfactory work with launch of new services (i.e. Blogger to WP and Providing domains at low cost), traffic increment and good Google pagerank.

Wordpress 3.0 Beta 1 Released

There is big announcement for all Wordpress lovers. Finally, Wordpress 3.0 beta is launched for which we all were waiting since long time.

Wordpress 3.0 is having much better features than earlier version , with merger of WordPress and WordPress MU (multi-user). Here are few other features of Wordpress 3.0 :

New Default theme
Custom Background Image support
Changing your own Username & Password
Custom post types
Easily manage multiple blogs via single Dashboard

There are many more features which makes Wordpress 3.0 worth installing. You can read more about Wordpress 3.0 from it's official page.

Manage Yahoo Mail and other services in Google Chrome

There is good news for all Yahoo fans that use Yahoo mail and other Yahoo services like news, weather etc. I came across a great extension for Google Chrome, Yahoo Mail Widget for Google Chrome, which allows you to manage Yahoo services in Google Chrome, without opening them in different tabs and checking what's new.

1. Once installed, you will see a small Yahoo icon next to your address bar.

2. Click on it and it will ask you for your yahoo username and password.

3. After you sign in, it will take you to your Yahoo Mail Inbox.

4. You can perform all the actions which were present in Yahoo Mail like delete, mark as read/unread etc.

5. You can even compose messages and send emails as well.

6. Other than that, you can also use Yahoo weather service as well. Just type in the location and it will give you complete forecast and weather details of the current day.

7. Check the daily Yahoo News to see what's happening in the world.

8. You can even login to Yahoo Messenger and talk to your friends while browsing and without opening Yahoo Messenger.

9. Another exciting feature that comes with this extension is Amazon. You can see the latest deals and products available on Amazon as well.

10. Last but not least, you can open this extension in a new window by clicking on the pop out button at the bottom left corner.

This is an excellent extension which I will recommend to all those who use Yahoo Services. There are some services missing but I hope the developer will add them in the next update.
