[Devils Workshop] “CultAffair – New blog in our network!” and 1 more...

Our (rtBlogs Network) journey into blogging started on this blog which was more or less a Tech blog. Devils Workshop grew steadily and got us working on creating a blog network. Then we launched Orkut Diary, Fbknol, WpVeda and CricTalks which gave us a wider scope. Today we have added another blog to our network.

We launched CultAffair on our network on 25th December 2010.

CultAffair is a blog that will cover the street. Often in our everyday life, we find many ordinary things on the roads and streets corners. There is a hidden world which we often ignore simply because we do not have the time to stop and look. CultAffair will try to do that and bring to you through its posts that “Ordinary is not Boring”.

This blog is the brainchild of Shradha Rao and you might be familiar with her posts on DW if you are a regular here.

[Gmail] Schedule an email to be sent later with Boomerang

At work my email is managed thanks to Google Apps and my personal email account is on Gmail. Gmail has many fantastic features but lacks an email scheduler. Most times we do not need an email to be sent out at a later date but there are special occasions when I wish we could just schedule some emails out to people.

This happens many times during birthday's and also occasions like Diwali, Christmas and New Year.

Boomerang for Gmail Features

Boomerang works as a add-on or extension with Firefox and Chrome browsers. It just adds an extra button which allowed me to schedule email at later times.
As you can see in the image below, there are many options along with sending the email after a specified amount of time or even set specific time in the calendar. It can also be set to be sent out at a random time.

I guess this year I can schedule “Happy New Year” messages to all my friends well in advance thanks to Boomerang!

They are geeks loaded with electronic stuff and all the latest in technology, that's why they might just not like a gift which is for normal guys. If you are a blogger too then you can link their site and send some good amount of traffic. Create a banner for your fellow blogger in the sidebar. He would be very pleased to see that and surely he would be double happy with the gift.
