The cheapest Netbooks in India: A comparison

Some people dismiss the importance of a Netbook but I think there is a lot of scope for it with respect to price and lack of computer penetration in certain markets. Dell had joined the notebook brigade for cornering the student market and Nokia came up with a netbook except they prefer to call it 3G Booklet.

The two netbooks from India, I really liked in terms of price and decent configuration were Wipro’s Ego Netbook and iBall Lil Netbook. Both are 10′inch screen netbooks which are the cheapest I have come across upto now.

Here is a table of comparison of both the products. The main criteria being they are one of the cheapest Netbooks around in India.

I think the cheapest tag can easily go to iBall Lilbook 10 inch Netbook which is almost Rs 5000/- less than the price of Wipro’s Ego 10 inch netbook. But Ego does have 3 USB ports and also an 8 in 1 card reader compared to just a 3-1 card reader with the iBall product.

Missing on Twitter Search: A Case-Study

In my previous article I have explained about the importance of Twitter Search. Now in this article I’m going to explain what you are going to loose if you are not visible on Twitter search and what are the measures that are to be taken to in-order to avoid your-self discarding from the Twitter Search.

As I said Twitter Search is a gold mine, that plays a crucial role in driving the traffic to your website from website. But what happens if your not been show on the Twitter Search.

It means that you are missing a great chance. According to me, there is no use of using the Twitter as a platform for sharing your website/web-content.

Lets us check our selves, whether we are being displayed at Twitter Search or not :

Go to Twitter Search.
Enter “from:username”. For example Im using “devils_workshop”.
Lets try it out to check whether devils_workshop is appearing on twitter search or not. from:devils_workshop. The results appeared.
Try out with your username this time, if the results appear then utilize the best chance that you got, if not its the time to react.

What you have to Do if your account is not showing on twitter Search:

Unless you problem is been fixed go to status.twitter.com and see whether if there is any problem at twitter.
Twitter is having its own forums page, file a complaint over there. Just wait for 2 days not more than that. I’m saying according to my experience, you may not get reply for your complaint. Then what do you do?
First of all, make sure that you haven’t violated any rules and regulations of Twitter. Go through these terms and services, and then if you thin that you haven’t violated than your work is almost done.
Write politely about your problem for @Delbius (Twitter employee). She is extremely helpful. She may not help you if you violated the terms and services but will give your few measures and certain tips that will help you in the future.
If you have violated the terms and services then, I recommend you to open a new Twitter account and from then at-least follow the Twitter guidelines for the new account.

Role of Custom component in Buddypress

Buddypress (BP) a buzz in the world of bloggers. It provides an open platform for the wordpress users to share their views and ideas. In other terms it will let you create a social community around your Wordpress blog. It has predefined rich set of components that is enough for a social-networking platform. Yet there is something missing.This missing part in the words of buddypress are CUSTOM COMPONENTS. These custom component can be anything that can provide a rich set of features that is a value added advantage to the Buddypress.

Buddypress is a sort of plugin that can be activated as we do to other plugins but it takes wordpress blog to a next level. This thirst let to the formation of a group of developers call Buddypress developers.

Customize Your Folders According to Priorities

Every day we create many folders on our computers, sometimes we get confused on looking the folders because all of them are alike with yellow color. So it is very easy to get confused with such a routine, and also we may assign priorities to some folders, then how to distinguish it from other folders ?

Do you fear that someone might unintentionally delete information necessary to you? Mark a folder, and other users will notice at once that the folder contains important information. For all this, FolderMarker is the Solution!

Foldermarker is a simple tool for Windows, which allows you to change the color and appearance of your folders just by one mouse click. It is available on right click context menu, just right click the folder and assign a color, you can also use your own custom folder icons.
