Now Follow Your Facebook and LinkedIn Friends on Twitter

Twitter is making following our friends and colleagues task easy. Now you can easily follow your friends from Facebook and LinkedIn. Twitter will allow you to follow friends who are added on your Facebook account and LinkedIn account with Facebook application and LinkedIn application.

The Facebook application is upgraded and now you can check out the list of your friends and follow them on twitter. When I tried to connect to Facebook application, the list was not available but Facebook is trying to fix up the problem. Hope they fix it soon so that we can enjoy the application easily and follow our friends on Twitter. We will surely update you as soon as Facebook application will get fixed.

It goes same with LinkedIn application, the application allows you to follow your LinkedIn connections. The LinkedIn application also allows you to save your LinkedIn connections as list and you can also post your tweets to LinkedIn.

Skype shows off its international presence with free calls for a month

Do you use Skype to make calls through the internet especially abroad? Most who are Skype regulars will be looking closely at the fact that Google is leveraging Google Voice which is now available to all users in the US. Winning a brand war is important like you see no one even talks about Amazon Kindle and almost everyone talks about Apple’s iPad.

So now that Google Voice is making a splash Skype has decided on the same day to announce free landline international calls. Skype does say it is doing so because it will allow football fans to connect during this football season but that is a little strange as the Fifa World Cup 2010 started about 2 weeks before this announcement was made and on the same day when Google Voice was made available to all US users.

So Skype has not offered for a whole month free unlimited calls to US, Mexico, Argentina, Australia, Chile, Denmark, France, Germany, Netherlands and many more countries. Also many other countries have free minutes in talk time ranging from 60 minutes for Cameroon to 400 minutes to Brazil.

What is notable is when Google Voice is just about making a splash in America, Skype is showing off its international presence and visibility.

Ofcourse this is not available in India because of VOIP licensing issues but many still do use Skype online for chatting and video conferencing and group conferences.

DestroyTwitter 2 is now available for download

You might have used many twitter clients for easy tweeting, one is Destroy Twitter. Today DestroyTwitter version 2 is released. It is powered by adobe air and works on all three platforms. DestroyTwitter 2 currently support only one Twitter account at a time though the developer has plans to add support for multiple accounts in a future release.

You can download or update Destroy Twitter 2 and run those big improvements like complete window resizing, more accessible settings, change color, fonts, filtering etc. Lets see the change log of destroy twitter 2.

How to Install

1) Download TwInbox and run the exe file. Before that, close outlook.

2) After the installation is complete, restart Outlook. You'll see a new toolbar at the top of Outlook window.

3) Click on TwInbox->Options. Here you'll be prompted to enter your Twitter login details.

4) You'll now be asked to specify a folder in Outlook where the tweets will be stored.

5) You are now ready to use twitter from Outlook.

Some tips to use TwInbox effectively

1) You can add multiple twitter account to TwInbox. For that simply go to TwInbox toolbar -> TwInbox -> Options and add another twitter account.

2) The toolbar at the top shows the latest tweet received in any of the accounts that you added.

To see all the tweets for a particular account, go to the folder that you mentioned while doing the installation. You'll see separate folders for each of the accounts that you added. The tweets are neatly arranged in sub-folders- Home, Direct, Mentions.

3) You can even create separate folders for every sender by going to Toolbar -> TwInbox ->Options -> Edit Account ->Preference.

4) To post a new message, hit New button in the TwInbox toolbar.
