Friends “You Both Follow” Feature Coming to Twitter

Twitter engineers are working twitter api to make the micro blogging website, a robust and flexible social networking tool for its users. As an initial step in this regard, twitter has started to roll out “You Both Follow” feature, to the users. We have already talked about the importance of this feature and along with the tools that allow you to see mutual followers on twitter.

Certainly, this was one of the features that twitter was missing and should have been introduced a some time ago, but as they say,”Better late, than never”, its good to have it for the expansion of Social Media. With "You both follow" feature, you can see the people that you and other twitter user have in common on the sidebar of the twitter page. This feature will be helpful in managing social connections on twitter, especially when you receive a new follower, and you wish to know how it came to know about you.

Do you have it?

Being in test mode, currently the feature is tested on 10 percent users only as revealed in a tweet by Nick Kallen, an engineer at Twitter. Third-party apps like Mutual Tweeps, ReFollow, Twitual, Twtfrnd already provide the feature to compare two twitter users based on their common followers. One key difference between the homepages of Google and Bing are the attractive images Bing search has as a background. This has not real bearing on a search engines functionality but a good looking background can catch attention.

So now Google has decided that they also would allow interesting images to be saved as background for their homepage. They have taken it a step further and will allow a user who is signed in to select personalized background images.

Here is an examples of such interesting backgrounds on Google.

This customized background image feature is being made available to US users over the next couple of days. International users like me will have to wait a bit longer for it.
Users who prefer the plain Google layout can simply with a simple click opt for the white plain background with the search bar.
People can upload there personal images as background by using their Picassa albums.

I am sure once this is out it will also create a few ripples in the online community which is still a little undecided on Google new layout with icons.

How to Take Snapshots of Videos in VLC Player

VLC is one of the best video players on the internet with so many excellent features. And now, you can take the screenshots of your favorite movies and tv shows. First of all, download and install VLC Media Player.

Open Vlc Player and play the movie or show. To take a snapshot, go to Video > Snapshot.

Once you take the snapshot, it will display the location of the saved snapshot on the screen.

By default, when you take the snapshot in VLC player, it saves the file in PNG format. But you can change the format as well. To change the format, go to Tools > Snapshots and change the format under Video Snapshot section. Change the format from PNG to JPG and click OK.

You can even take the snapshot with just one click as well. To use this, you have to enable the Advanced Controls option in VLC. In order to enable Advanced Control options, go to View > Advanced Controls.

Once enabled, you will see some buttons near the playback slider in VLC. All you have to do is click on the camera button and it will take the snapshot of the video.

Eye Dropper:

With Eye Dropper you can select the option "pick the color from the webpage". Next click the button and move the mouse to select the color on webpage with left click. Now you have to click on Eye Dropper Extension again to check the results.

If you are not happy with Eye Dropper Extension, you can go for Color Picker. It provides the Hex and RGB color codes of any clicked color. You can also adjust Hue, Saturation or Balance and copy the color into Hex box to preview it.
