A Note To All Us Drivers

My friend was happy to tell me that her father finally got a settlement for a car accident he recently experienced here in the States. You see, a few years ago, when her dad was still working here, his car's faulty breaks caused him to ram into the window of a restaurant in Chinatown. While her father escaped unscathed, the downside was that the accident resulted in damage to property and a few injuries to restaurant patrons. And thanks to his lawyer's genius, they were able to prove that the accident was not a result of the driver's wrecklessness, but were actually due to negligence on the part of the car manufacturers. All legal fees and damages were thus shouldered by the company's insurance plan. It was sweet victory for my friend's dad, although the entire experience has left her dad traumatized. He no longer stays behind the wheel and prefers to be driven around by the family chauffeur. After all, it is better to be safe than sorry.
