Google Buzz is buzzing a lot these days. The main reason for Google Buzz popularity is that it is integrated in Gmail itself, which makes conversation easy in Google buzz. But the people who are not using Gmail, finds difficult to make comments in Buzz.

For This reason, Google has came up with new feature which allows you to comment to Google buzz post without having to visit Buzz through email, you just need to reply to email and you can be a part of conversation.

This is not enough, Google also gave a good surprise to all the people who love to share pictures online, now you can easily share albums with your friends in the buzz photo viewer. No need to choose few photos and share like earlier.

If Chrome is your first choice as a browser then this extension will be quite useful. Many of us who work online have many tricks to try to make every minute spent online productive. This means trying to keep a track on spending too much time on social networking websites. Another tip is also to organize our desktop to be more productive.

Incredible Start Page is a Chrome extension which makes your Chrome browsers start page very organized and productive.

Once you install the extension the new start page looks a bit like the image above. It shows recent bookmarks in a more cleaner way.
Another great part is viewing Bookmarks according to folders which are neatly tucked one under the other in a display area to the left. It also displays history in another box to the left had side.
Finally the best part of this start page extension is the option of writing down notes. These notes can serve as a reminder for the next day when you open your browser. This note can also be sent by Gmail through a link on the page.

Check robots.txt file of a website for errors and typos

If you own a website and are obsessed with your website being search engine friendly you will probably be aware of a file called robots.txt which often has the site-map to your website. This site-map is immediately picked up by search engines web crawlers which is how search engines end up indexing billions of web pages.

What does robots.txt file do?

A web robot or web crawler which first visits a website it looks up for the robots.txt files. For example when a search crawler looks up http://devilsworkshop.org it will look up for http://devilsworkshop.org/robots.txt.
This robots.txt actually allows and disallows a search engine to look up certain directories of a domain. For instance if you website has hosted a wiki you do not want to be accessible for search engines to look up, then that directory has to be excluded from looking up by a search engine.

This is why is it necessary to check robots.txt file for typos and errors which might defeat the purpose of excluding certain directories on your website from being looked up.

About Robots.txt checker

The website allows you to enter any URL and check the robots.txt file. This scan is usually looks up errors based on what is disallowed.
It also shows up warning for any matches what might be misunderstood or ignored by search engine crawlers.

This is not really something that I would recommend webmasters to obsess over as usually most robots.txt of many websites are similar. For example you will see identical robots.txt files for almost all generic blogs which are hosted with Wordpress. This tool will be useful mainly if you have many directories which you want not to be looked up by web bots.
