Photoshop Tutorial for Supernova text effect

In this step by step tutorial I am going to create a Supernova text effect using smudge tool and blending options.

Steps to create Supernova text effect :

Create a file of 300 x 300 pixel.
Fill it with black color.
Make sure the default foreground and background colors are white and black.
Select smudge tool.
From file menu choose Window –> brush.

On layer 1 you can add some noise if you want.
Now create a new layer select it (Layer 2).
Here this could be a difficult part, so first select smudge tool, click the mouse in the center then hold shift key and drag the mouse upwards finally you will get this kind of effect.
(Note: first click then hold shift key and pull it up)

Now go on repeating the above step until you get this.

Now the same thing downwards.

Select outer glow from the blending option.

Change outer glow 1) color to #ae02c2 and 2)opacity to 100%

Create a text layer and write your text on it.

Now copy the layer style, to do so hold Alt key and drag the fx and drop it into the text layer(Devilsworkshop).

Create a vector mask.

Now select the gradient tool and fill it downwards.

Final output looks like shown in the below image, you can also change the text later however we have used blending options.

You can add lens flare to it and change the font family to make it look better.

Owing to this and with increasing Internet usability, lot of companies started their Online recharge facility quite early and that too without any extra charges. However the website I am talking about here gives back their users when they recharge for any amount; seems interesting? Read on to know more.

Freecharge a Mumbai-based firm, is offering one of the latest innovations in the mobile commercial world. It is offering an equal amount of Vouchers or coupons for brands like McDonald’s, Cafe Coffee Day, Naaptol, Dominos, Basking Robbins, Yatra and few more like this for the amount you recharge through the portal.

Yes, this is quite funny that even in this electronic world they are sending vouchers through normal post only.

I would quote an example from my experience. I recharged my Reliance GSM mobile for Rs. 109 (since I get a full talktime on that) and I was asked to select coupons worth upto Rs. 150, so I selected 3 coupons worth Rs. 50 each of McDonald’s. The reason I selected McDonald’s and nothing else was that McDonald’s vouchers are redeemable on the equal bill value itself which means if my bill is Rs.150, I can use all my vouchers worth Rs. 150 (Rs. 50 x 3) to have anything and pay actually nothing! Isn't that cool?

Note: Rs. 10 extra charges (irrespective of your recharge amount) for delivery of the vouchers to your place.

Two software to find and download album art easily

This article is not to claim that you don't know anything about Album Art or how to download it using Internet. Album Art is an embedded picture of the CD/DVD cover along with the tag information of the music track.

After trying the things personally, it was not an easy experience to embed Album art. So, I will be discussing about two software which will make the entire process easy.

#1 Album Art Downloader

This is an open source software which just looks for Album art from as much as 30 sources on the Web and that too just at one click of the mouse. This ensures that users find Album art for almost all Albums/movies available for any genre or Artist. A big argument against this would be that even players like Winamp and MP3Tag let you search for Album Art, however I have found them not much useful when it comes to finding the appropriate Album art pictures.

Album Art Downloader lets you download and save all Album art in a very easy way. You just need to enter the Artist and/or Album name to look for the relevant pictures from all its sources. Just clicking a single button saves all your Album art pictures at a pre-defined location.

#2 MP3Tag

This software let you view all your media files (from selected folders) at one place. You can select multiple files at one time and add the Album Art you just downloaded using the Album Art Downloader. This can make your work easier than doing it through any other player like Windows Media Player or Winamp.

rtCamp’s Theme rtMoto added in the WordPress Theme Directory

As an alternative to Blogger’s Mr. Moto theme, rtCamp developers Manish Songarikar and Pradeep Sonawane developed the rtMoto WordPress 3.0 theme which has been officially added to the WordPress Theme Directory, where you can download it for free.

rtMoto is compatible with WordPress 3.0 and later versions.
