Panic Button – Keep your work secret with Chrome extension

Do you always feel troubled people looking at your screen when you are working and that too when you are doing something important? Your browser tabs shows the title of the page you have opened, but you don’t feel like sharing that as well. The solution is available under Google Extensions, called "Panic Button".

Installing this Extension to your Chrome will let you hide all your tabs just at a click of a button. And trust me it's really easy. You can even set a keyboard shortcut (Default: F12) and just pressing the button immediately hides all your tabs. Don't worry as using the same button or the keyboard shortcut will even get all your tabs back. You can even set a Password for tab restoration and make it further safe!!

Webmasters and bloggers all over want to know more about their competition. This usually means looking up other websites. Getting too obsessed with the competition can actually be harmful, but a little bit of analysis and understanding is a good way to learn from your competition. BuiltWith is a website which allowed me to look up a lot of useful information on just about any website.

BuiltWith Features

Just type in the name of the URL of the website you want information about. Once that is done a report is generated.
I could look up the website's technology profile. Information like which servers are used and which platform, the site was hosted on including the version of the platform. It also gave information regarding which analysis tools (eg: Google Analytics) and advertising services (eg: AdSense, Ad Words and infolinks) were used.
Also it look up information on the Widgets and social media features which are present on the website.
When it comes to SEO related information, I got to look up decent information regarding keyword frequency and top 10 keywords being used. To view SEO related information you have to register free to access the data.

As I continued using BuiltWith, I found it quite useful to learn about various other platforms and things common to websites using those platforms like Blogger.com or WordPress. I do not think it will be helpful to analyse your own website. Use this one to do a bit of spying on your competitors.

If you are one of those Internet users with high data usage but always end-up getting disappointed due to low speeds or your ISP banning your account every time because of the Fair Usage monster, then it is time you must look at what the telecom giant BSNL has to offer from its pocket…

BSNL has recently introduced three nation-wide Unlimited 3G Data Plans which caught my attention. All plans are available in both Postpaid as well Prepaid methods:

Rs. 700 per month

Condition – Pay Rs. 4200 at one-go (advance in case of Postpaid) and enjoy a validity of 6 months.

Rs. 833 per month

Condition – Pay Rs. 2500 at one-go (advance in case of Postpaid) and enjoy a validity of 3 months.

Rs. 1000 per month

Condition – Pay Rs. 2000 at one-go (advance in case of Postpaid) and enjoy a validity of 2 months.

Data Card Offer

BSNL is even offering its 3G Data Cards as per the following:

Rs. 2500 Rs. 2000

This Data card offer speeds upto 3.6 Mbps

Rs. 3000 Rs. 2500

This Data card offer speeds upto 7.2 Mbps

Factual Data

Presently BSNL offers 3G services in 675 cities/towns across India.
Speed offered ranges between 3.6 Mbps and 7.2 Mbps (depends on location).
Plans to offer speeds upto 21.1 Mbps (not less than 14.2 Mbps) by 31st March for pan-India users. The speed shall be upgraded in a phased manner beginning with Pune & Ahmedabad.
National Roaming is free with the above plans.
The above plans are promotional in nature and are valid for registration only till 29th January, 2011. Any extension to the promotion would be announced by BSNL as per rules.
