Use Rich Text Editor for stylish signatures on Gmail Posted: 09 Jul 2010 10:01 AM PDT Usually when we receive an email which is suspicious we look at the end of email message for the signature. Signatures usually contains email addresses, phone numbers and very often a web portal. This ofcourse is all in text but Gmail has changed that with the induction of the Rich Text Editor for creating email signatures. Earlier my email signature was simple
Now my email signature on Gmail is a lot more stylish and relevant complete with links to my Facebook profile and Twitter account. Just go to Settings on your Gmail page and look up signature. Write in what you want for your signature and include any image you want. This image cannot be uploaded so you would have to do that somewhere else and enter the URL where it was stored. As you can see in the above image we can create good looking email signatures with Gmail. If you liked this post you might want to check up on other Gmail updates in the recent past

Does Your Blog Appears Correctly In Every Browser? Posted: 09 Jul 2010 05:23 AM PDT There are some browsers which do not display your blog or site properly. Sometimes the font is wrong and we have other problems as HTML 5 is being used more often. You realistically cannot install every browser and check your blog on it. So I am going to tell you a website where you will be able to see a screen-shot of your blog on different browsers and even their older versions. It doesn’t even require any sign-up or registration. You just have to submit your blog and wait for a few minutes depending on how many browsers you have selected for testing. Images from Makeuseof.com
It has more than 60 browsers listed and we can see full screen preview of every browser we selected. This is ideal if you want to get a quick overview of the number of browsers which can view your website correctly. You might need to redesign some parts in case you find a particular browser which is popular and showing your website incorrectly. What are your thoughts on this online tool? Which browser do you use? Do lets us know through your comments. Link: Browser shots -- This Post Does Your Blog Appears Correctly In Every Browser? is Published on Devils Workshop . |
YouTube dresses up for TV sets and mobile phones Posted: 09 Jul 2010 02:02 AM PDT Google has traditionally clashed against Microsoft and Yahoo over dominance over the internet. Recently we see Google has started stepping on the toes of Apple. One can safely assume two priorities over the next year for Google are Google TV and mobile phones. This is where YouTube which is considered to be vastly under performing when it comes to creating revenues will be crucial for Google. YouTube has announced a new service called Leanback which basically is helpful for watching videos on a bigger screen. It automatically keeps streaming one video after another based on your preferences. This will be quite useful for viewing YouTube videos on a Television set. Google TV anyone? Just visit youtube.com/leanback and start to look up video is full screen mode. I have a pretty large screen with my laptop. The controls were with directions mainly to choose screen through videos. If YouTube has come up with leanback for large screens then m.youtube.com is meant for the ultra small screen of a mobile phone. It is a new format for looking up YouTube online. Check out the two videos by YouTube for Leanback and mobile and let us know what you think of them through your comments. Leanback video YouTube’s portal for mobile
